Abstract

Penelitian perkembangan Cryptolestes ferrugineus pada beras varietas IR-64 dengan tingkatan suhu ruang 20°C, 25°C, 30°C, 35°C, dan 40°C dilakukan di Laboratorium Hama, Jurusan Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Brawijaya, Malang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa C. ferrugineus tidak dapat berkembang pada suhu ruang 40°C. Perkembangan C. ferrugineus lebih baik pada suhu ruang 30°C daripada suhu ruang 35°C, 20°C, 25°C, dan 40°C dengan menunjukkan periode perkembangan pada suhu ruang 30°C adalah 26,75 hari, lebih singkat daripada suhu ruang 35°C (32 hari), 20°C (40,50 hari), dan 25°C (42,50 hari).
